After too many hours of Facebook stalking this abandoned incinerator in Fort Worth, I set out with my friend Katey to find this awesome place once and for all. No trespassing was involved, which was a refreshing twist compared to many of my other adventures. Once we found the incinerator we were blown away. This thing is huge! The graffiti engulfs the entire building from floor to ceiling, making it an artists dream come true. It amazed me that this place is just existing in a field with no protection whatsoever. A staircase on the side of the building leads you to numerous different rooms and areas to explore. I ended up going back with my friend Suzi to film a dope music video for our writing class because we needed some graffiti as a backdrop, and I was amazed at this place all over again. Tip: if you go, watch out for the holes in the floor...you could step in them and loose a foot.

Hamilton Pool Preserve: Dripping Springs, Texas
My friend Emily and I were surfing the web during class, as usual, to figure out our next adventure. We stumbled upon a place called Hamilton Pool, immediately fell in love with the pictures, and mutually decided that we simply had to go check it out. So, two days later we packed up the car and drove three hours to see one of God's many creations. Now I must admit, we were a little underwhelmed with the photos that we ended up with after visiting the pool. It was a gloomy day so there wasn't fantastic lighting, and the pool was closed to swimming because of bacteria in the water. Regardless, it was still something super cool to check out and mark off the list. Tip: go in the summer when it's sunny and you can swim!
Tatum & Reo: Fort Worth, Texas
For my photography class I had an assignment to come up with a series of photographs. The first idea that filled my head was to photograph dancers. After dancing for countless years, it's an art form that I admire very much. I asked my friend Tatum to pose for some photographs and she was such a doll to bring along her friend Reo. I had an amazing time shooting these girls (I mean look at how amazing their legs are...) Dance is such a beautiful art form and I really enjoyed pairing it with photography, an art form that I am slowly discovering.
360 Bridge Overlook: Austin, Texas
My friend Emily and I spontaneously drove to Austin, chasing adventure. What we found was incredible. After driving around Austin we came across a bridge that looked similar to one we had seen online. Sure enough, it was Austin's famous 360 Bridge. We did a little off roading in Emily's Jeep and then hiked to get to the overlook point (in jeans, not our finest moment)...But man was it worth it. Right after reaching the top of the overlook I felt like I was on top of the world, so high above the tiny cars passing underneath us. After having our own little photoshoot, Emily and I agreed that we had to go back to the overlook after sunset to get some long exposure shots of the bridge (best decision).
Halloween 2014: Fort Worth, Texas
Why don't we use Kodak cameras more often? They're dope, simply put. I have recently become infatuated with photography, since I'm enrolled in a photo class at TCU. I was so wrapped up in my Canon and raw files that I forgot what kind of magic I used to make with old Kodak cameras growing up. My grandmother used to send me one every year for my birthday and Christmas. Now I'm looking back wishing I would've taken advantage of those old school machines! We took a Kodak out one night during Halloweekend..Here are a few of the results:
ADPi Recruitment 2014: Fort Worth, Texas
